What is BROWZoff?
-----BROWZoff™ technology is the technology used to prevent pop-ups and browsing without using the SYF Browser program. If you want your internet browsers locked out, turn on the BROWZoff™ technology. BROWZoff™ technology has been copied by other companies after we implemented it with the SYF Browser. These companies are asking that you add their system to an existing system that may or may not be compatible. BROWZoff™ is integrated with the SYF Browser, so you do not have to worry about the programs working with each other. There is a reason that other software compaines have been copying the BROWZoff™ technology and packaging as a seperate entity, because it is a unique idea that really does work to prevent pop-ups and unauthorized program use!

Do you plan on selling BROWZoff&trade independantly from the SYF Browser?
-----BROWZoff&trade technology is currently integrated with the SYF Browser. A potential arises if this component is seperately packaged that a spyware or a virus could target this technology easier. We are looking at packaging the BROWZoff&trade technology under a different name. Unlike other companies who are selling this technology for $25 or more, we will offer this service for a more reasonable price.

Why not just subscribe to a site filtering service?
-----Site filtering services do a good job on web sites that they know about. Unfortunately, thousands of new offensive web sites are created and taken down each day. It is not realistic that any service can effectively screen all of them. Additionally, these services make decisions for you on what is offensive and what is not offensive. The SYF Browser is a customizable experience which allows the administrator to change the level of control. Services set a level of control for all of their users. Services have yearly fees, the SYF Browser is a one time purchase price. Once you purchase and install the SYF Browser, you can control how much or how little the filters work! You generally have little control of the decisions of site filtering services.

What security features does the SYF Browser have?
----The SYF Browser can bet set to allow as little or as much of the internet that you want to allow. Other programs allow a set content amount, with occasionally some controls of either the filtering or the site blocking that the service allows. The SYF Browser can grow with the child and their internet experience from complete blocking, through opening up to searching the internet, to full internet access with URL logging. Other products may allow control over a few items, but the SYF Browser allows control over several key items.

Does SYF work with AOL?
-----SYF will not work with programs that are proprietary where the internet is not constantly on. AOL is one of them. SYF does not work with AOL for dial up. AOL for broadband can work with the SYF Browser if the internet access is set to consistently on.

My Windows installation is not on the C: Drive and SYF will not work, why?
-----SYF's security features are based on specific coding that requires that SYF be installed in specific directories. If you cannot install the trial, you will not be able to use the SYF Browser.

Why is the SYF a stand alone browser?
----SYF is a stand alone browser instead of a plug in, due to the fact that Internet Explorer can be compromised easily by viruses. At this time there are no spyware, viruses, or ad ware that targets the SYF Browser. If Internet Explorer becomes infected, the filter plug-in may stop working and unwanted sites may come up unintentionally. BROWZoff™ technology prevents this from happening.
